Nothing Refreshes Ear (open) With a New Blue Finish

Nothing has introduced a new Blue colourway for the Ear (open), giving its open wearable stereo (OWS) earbuds a fresh look while retaining the features that have made them a popular option for users who want to stay aware of their surroundings without giving up their music.

The new finish builds on the design language seen on the company’s recent smartphones, drawing inspiration from blue tennis courts, workout equipment, retro electronics, and transparent sculptures. It also expands the colour options for the Ear (open) while maintaining Nothing’s signature transparent aesthetic.
Unlike traditional in-ear earbuds, the Ear (open) is designed to rest outside the ear canal, allowing users to hear ambient sounds such as traffic, conversations, or public announcements while listening to music. The open-ear design is particularly suited for outdoor workouts, running, cycling, and commuting, where situational awareness remains important.
Weighing just 8.1 grams per earbud, the Ear (open) features lightweight silicone ear hooks that provide a secure fit during movement, while its slim charging case is designed for easy portability. Nothing says the earbuds were engineered to remain comfortable even during extended listening sessions.
Despite the open design, Nothing incorporates its Open Sound Technology, directional speakers, and Sound Seal System to help reduce sound leakage while delivering balanced, detailed audio. A custom titanium-coated driver and automatic Bass Enhance algorithm further improve sound quality by producing clearer highs and fuller low frequencies.

Battery life remains one of the Ear (open)’s strengths. Together with the charging case, the earbuds deliver up to 30 hours of playback, while a 10-minute quick charge provides up to 10 hours of listening time.
Other features include AI-powered Clear Voice Technology for clearer calls, Dual Connection for switching seamlessly between devices, Low Latency Mode for gaming and video, and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. Through the Nothing X app, users can customize the listening experience using an eight-band equalizer, while Nothing OS users can also access ChatGPT directly from the earbuds.
The Nothing Ear (open) Blue is now available in the Philippines for ₱5,990 through Digital Walker, open_source by Beyond the Box, and Nothing’s official online stores. For more information, visit Nothing.
