TechLife Brings Back the Compact Tablet with the New Pad Mini

Published August 5, 2026

As smartphones continue to grow larger and full-sized tablets push beyond the 10-inch mark, compact tablets have quietly become a rare sight. TechLife is betting there’s still room for a device that’s easier to carry without sacrificing the features people rely on every day.

The company has officially launched the TechLife Pad Mini, an 8-inch Android tablet designed for users who want a portable companion for work, entertainment, reading, and everyday productivity. Carrying the tagline “Mini Made for More,” the new tablet focuses on balancing portability with practical features at an affordable price.

Small enough to fit comfortably in one hand or slip into a sling bag, the Pad Mini is built around an 8-inch LCD display that’s well suited for reading e-books, watching videos during a commute, catching up on presentations, or browsing the web without constantly zooming in like on a smartphone.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G80 processor paired with 4GB of physical RAM and up to 4GB of Dynamic RAM Expansion for smoother multitasking. It comes with 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 1TB via a microSD card, providing plenty of space for downloaded movies, documents, photos, and other files.

The tablet also supports 4G LTE connectivity, allowing users to stay connected even without Wi-Fi. Whether it’s checking emails, joining online meetings, streaming content, or browsing while on the move, users can simply insert a SIM card instead of relying on their smartphone as a hotspot.

A 6,300mAh battery powers the Pad Mini throughout the day and supports 10W USB-C charging, while 5W reverse charging lets users top up compatible accessories when needed.

For entertainment, the tablet features dual stereo speakers and is HD Streaming Ready for supported platforms, making it suitable for watching movies and TV series. Reading Mode and Eye Comfort Mode are also included to reduce eye strain during extended reading sessions.

Running on Android 16, the TechLife Pad Mini comes with Google Gemini AI Assistant for writing, research, planning, and other AI-powered tasks. Families may also appreciate the built-in Interactive Kids Space, which provides a child-friendly environment complete with parental controls.

Photography isn’t the focus of the device, but it includes an 8MP rear camera for scanning documents and everyday snapshots, along with a 5MP front camera for video calls and online meetings.

The TechLife Pad Mini is available in Misty Blue, Fairy Pink, and Champagne Gold, giving buyers three color options to match different styles.

The tablet carries a suggested retail price of ₱9,999, although TechLife is offering introductory discounts during its launch period. From August 5 to 20, it will be available for as low as ₱7,699 on TikTok Shop, ₱8,399 on Shopee, and ₱8,999 on Lazada. Buyers will also receive a free Pad Handle Case worth ₱999, while supplies last.

Customers who prefer buying in person can also purchase the TechLife Pad Mini from TechLife Concept Stores, where the same free Pad Handle Case is included with every purchase during the promotional period.
