Jackery and Home Credit offer backup power for brownouts from ₱80 a day
A fully charged laptop can get you through a brownout. The Wi-Fi router plugged into the wall is another story. If your internet provider’s network stays up, a portable power station can keep the modem and router running while you finish work. Add an electric fan to the list and you have a different question: how much battery do you need, and for how long?
Jackery and Home Credit Philippines have teamed up to offer installment financing on Jackery portable power stations and solar panels. The partners are advertising 0% interest plans and payment options starting at the equivalent of ₱80 a day. They haven’t specified which model, down payment or repayment period produces that figure. Ask for the monthly installment and total amount payable for the unit you’re considering.
Start with what you want to plug in
The lineup includes six portable power stations: the Explorer 100 Plus, 300 Plus, 300D, 500 V2, 1000 V2 and 2000 V2. For anyone choosing among them, the device you plan to plug in is a better starting point than the daily rate.
Say you want to power a 50-watt electric fan for four hours. That fan alone needs 200 watt-hours of energy, and the station will use a little more converting battery power to AC. Running lights or a router at the same time adds to the load. The two numbers to check are watt-hours (Wh) for stored energy and watts (W) for the output the station can deliver at once. Check the ports, too. A USB-C port may be all your laptop needs, while a fan with a wall plug needs an AC outlet.
The same calculation works for a weekend away. Start with the gear you’re bringing and how long you’ll be away from a socket. If you’re counting on solar charging, ask which panel works with your chosen station and whether it’s included in the quoted price.

The financing offer is available at official Jackery kiosks in SM Fairview, SM Southmall and SM North EDSA, as well as through Home Credit-accredited dealers nationwide. Applicants can present one valid government ID and apply with an in-store sales agent or through the Home Credit mobile app. According to the partners, approval can take as little as one minute.
