VMware Strengthens Leadership to Advance Its Multi-Cloud Vision in Asia

VMware, Inc. a leading innovator in enterprise software, has appointed Paul Simos as Vice-President and Managing Director for Southeast Asia and Korea and Sachin Shridhar as Leader for Strategic Pursuits Practice in the Asia Pacific and Japan.

As more businesses in the region are rapidly adapting to new ways of working and embracing a multi-cloud strategy to supercharge their cloud journeys, it remains essential for businesses to leverage new technologies and solutions to deliver superior services and experiences at speed and at scale for both customers and employees.

Paul leads VMware’s efforts in Southeast Asia and Korea, developing and driving trusted partnerships with customers and partners to strategically advise and deliver enhanced solutions aligned to their strategic priorities. With cloud adoption accelerating and Software-as-a-Service growing rapidly across Asia Pacific and Japan, he will also play a pivotal role to further the company’s growth in areas such as hybrid and multi-cloud adoption, app modernization, security, networking and digital workspace platforms.

With over 20 years of experience in the enterprise technology space, Paul has executed some of the largest multi-cloud transformation deals in the Asia Pacific and Japan region over the last few years. Paul has driven exceptional growth across different aspects of VMware’s business, from the wide growth in our enterprise business in the Asia Pacific and Japan region to transformational deals across large and government customers in Australia and New Zealand.

Sachin Shridhar as Leader for Strategic Pursuits Practice in the Asia Pacific and Japan

Sachin leads VMware’s enterprise business efforts for Asia Pacific and Japan and will be instrumental in driving and empowering businesses to succeed in the digital economy. With experience in driving consumption-based sales motions, Sachin is well-positioned to support the transformation by accelerating app transformation and helping customers move faster in their cloud journey.
