Canon Marketing (Philippines) Inc. is a proud supporter of the Department of Education’s annual Brigada Eskwela campaign that helps prepare public schools for the opening of classes. Committed to delighting communities through its products, services, and advocacy, Canon donated Canon printers to the Balokbalok Elementary School and Nasugbu West Central School in Nasugbu, Batangas. The city was recently distressed by Typhoon Jolina last September 2021, and many of the Balokbalok elementary School’s modules, printers, and learning materials were damaged in the aftermath.

Under the theme of Bayanihan para sa Paaralan, this year’s project advocates for the support of learning opportunities, together with the health, safety, and well-being protection of students, teachers, and personnel. Through Canon’s printer donations, both provincial institutions received additional support to upgrade their educational facilities in printing modules or exercise sheets aiming to contribute to students’ continuous learning amidst the pandemic.

Canon Marketing (Philippines) Inc. members Eric Villanueva, Lens Baruelo, Nicole Pineda, Anuj Aggarwal and Kazuhiro Ozawa virtually meet to show appreciation for a successful donation of Canon printers received by Mrs. Lilybeth Guernaldo on behalf of Nasugbu West Central School, and by Mrs. Myra Bruno in behalf of Balokbalok Elementary School.

“Canon Marketing (Philippines) Inc., is honored and blessed to be part of Balokbalok Elementary School and Nasugbu West Central School’s Brigada Eskwela. The pandemic has called for new ways of learning and working together to effectively educate our youth. We hope that students’ virtual, and or mixed face-to-face learning can be complemented by the printed modules serving as tangible practice or workbook sheets leading to better understanding of the lessons taught,” said Mr. Kazuhiro Ozawa, President & CEO of Canon Marketing (Philippines) Inc.

In coping with the new normal, Canon Philippines went beyond to delight Nasugbu residents with tangible tools and assistance to support their education. Delighting through advocacy is integral to Canon’s way of doing business and the company is committed to extending help and support to communities in need, whether it be through product donations or creative programs.
