Epson, the leading brand for document scanners in ASEAN[1], has launched its latest A4 document scanners, the WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN, designed to optimize business efficiency with fast and flexible scanning solutions.

Engineered to meet the evolving needs of modern workplaces, these compact scanners deliver impressive speeds of up to 30 pages per minute with the automatic document feeder (ADF) and up to 7 seconds per page using the flatbed. The 60-sheet ADF enables seamless, high-volume scanning, while the integrated flatbed allows for the digitization of delicate or thick items. With user-friendly features such as an intuitive 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen and PC-less operation available on the DS-1760WN, the new WorkForce models offer businesses a reliable and efficient path to digital document management.

Fast and reliable scanning for enhanced productivity

The WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN are designed to optimize workflows for both individuals and businesses. With their compact design, these models offer flexible media handling, supporting everything from mixed-size and long documents via the ADF to thick or delicate items such as photos, ID cards, and booklets through the integrated flatbed. Advanced features include one-pass duplex scanning for increased efficiency, text enhancement for improved clarity, document edge correction, and punch hole removal, ensuring high-quality digital outputs in every scan. The continuous scanning feature allows users to combine documents scanned from both the ADF and flatbed into a single file, increasing flexibility and efficiency.

To further enhance the user experience, both models feature image sensor glass dirt detection. This notifies users of any dirt on the glass surface to reduce the risk of poor image quality and minimize the need for re-scanning. Additionally, the scanners can detect and crop multiple items of varying sizes in a single scan, saving time and boosting productivity.

Equipped with advanced document management solutions

With Document Capture Pro, users can automate scanning workflows with up to 30 customizable scan jobs, convert documents into searchable PDFs or editable Office documents using built-in optical character recognition (OCR), and send scanned images directly to cloud storage services, email, or network folders. The scanners also support advanced job separation, barcode and Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) recognition, as well as flexible file naming and sorting options.

The DS-1760WN further enhances productivity with ScanWay, enabling PC-less operation by direct scanning to network folders, USB drives, cloud or email using the scanner control panel without the use of a computer.

User-centric and eco-conscious design

Epson’s commitment to sustainability and user-centric design is evident in the WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN. With up to 30%[2] of the main body constructed from recycled plastics, these scanners offer an eco-conscious solution without compromising on compactness or performance, making them an ideal choice for businesses seeking to reduce their environmental impact.

“At Epson, we understand that businesses today demand not only speed and efficiency but also sustainable solutions that fit seamlessly into a modern workspace. The WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN exemplify our commitment to innovation, delivering compact, high-performance scanning technology that optimizes workflows while reducing environmental impact,” said Noelle Gonzalez, Head of Marketing at Epson Philippines Corporation (EPC). “Epson is proud to be the No. 1 document scanner brand in Southeast Asia, and we remain dedicated to continuous innovation, introducing advanced features that consistently deliver real value and enhanced productivity to our customers.”
