Following the success of the realme 11 Pro 5G and Realme 11 Pro+ 5G, realme is now rounding off its flagship number series with the introduction of the realme 11. And though it might lack the Pro or Pro Plus in its name, I assure you that this phone is anything but vanilla.
This latest addition continues realme’s commitment to bring high-end features at a more affordable price tag. The realme 11 brings significant camera enhancements, rapid charging capabilities, and a processor built for the demands of today’s users, positioning itself as one of the most compelling choices this coming holiday season.
It’s a smartphone that doesn’t just follow the footsteps of its predecessors; it tries to carve out its own niche, promising to be as much a conversation starter with its charging speed, and camera capabilities making it a reliable tool for connectivity and creativity.
As always, let’s begin with the unboxing experience of the Realme 11. My cabinet is already filling up with yellow boxes, as it welcomes another addition to the collection.
Like its predecessors, the realme 11 comes in a thick solid box–with its trademark bright yellow hue and a distinctive black stripe at the bottom.
Opening the box, you’re first greeted with the “Welcome to the realme Family” compartment. Inside, you’ll find the essentials to get started: a QuickStart guide and warranty information, critical for any new user. There’s also a sim card eject tool, indispensable for setting up your phone for the first time. And, acknowledging the everyday challenges a smartphone faces, realme includes a clear plastic case, offering protection against daily wear and tear right from the outset. I do appreciate that they decided on a clear case and not a frosted one this time around.
Beneath this compartment lies the realme 11 unit itself, neatly wrapped in protective plastic, awaiting its first interaction. In the bottom section of the box, you’ll find the 67W SUPERVOOC wall Charger. Accompanying the charger is a USB-C cable, specifically designed to complement the phone’s advanced charging capabilities.
NOW HERE ARE FIVE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE REALME 11:
- A GLORIOUS LEAP? The realme 11 brings several upgrades over it’s predecessor. Most notable is its 108MP ProLight Camera, a substantial upgrade from the realme 10’s camera capabilities. This enhancement is not just in numbers; it translates to a richer, more detailed photographic output, making it a delight for photography enthusiasts. At its core lies the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, which brings a noticeable improvement in speed and efficience. The “Luxury Fluted Halo” and “Pit Design” hailed from the dial on premium mechanical watches also adds a nice touch around the camera ring at the back of the phone for added premium feel. Glory Gold on its own has an S-Shaped Light Effect with a Starlight Texture finish, and with a Gradient Gold Plating Process done as the final finish.
The sleek design not only offers a modern aesthetic but also ensures a comfortable, ergonomic grip, making the phone a pleasure to hold and use.
- CHARGE BEYOND LIMITS: The 67W SUPERVOOC charging technology is among the fastest in its price range and addresses one of the most pressing needs of smartphone users – fast charging. The realme 11 can charge astonishingly fast, with the capacity to fill up the 5000mAh battery up to 50% in 17 minutes, then up to 100% in about 45 minutes. The charging interface is also calibrated with realme’s own charging algorithms for safety such as its VCVT Intelligent Tuning Algorithm, and Dual Charge Pump Technology. There are also 38 levels of protection that guarantee safe charging from parts used on the charger and up to the battery
Complementing the fast charging is the phone’s impressive battery life. The realme 11 is equipped with a large-capacity battery with up to 673 hours of standby time, 52 hours of phone calls, 21 hours of video streaming, 42 hours of music streaming, and 15 hours of TikTok, and can last up to 2 days based on how heavy the user pushes it to.
- 108MP PRO LIGHT CAMERA: The realme 11 has a 108MP Samsung HM6 Sensor for high-quality shots and more impressively a 3x In-Sensor Zoom. This means you can now shoot far away subjects without the need to come closer and the results come out quite as good. That 3X zoom also allows for a different perspective when composing your shots. It also comes calibrated with software algorithms from realme UI, with dedicated camera features that maximize the main sensor – UI Features include Street Mode, a dedicated full resolution. – 108MP Mode, Filters, Watermarks, Dual-View Video, Pro Mode, and others as well.
In low-light situations and the standard Photo mode, the phone is able to use pixel-binning known as Nonapixel Plus Technology to aid in optimizing photos taken for less noise and added clarity. This is also paired with a secondary 2MP Portrait Lens. Added features are the new filters inclusive of Tranquil, Crisp, and Cinematic. Street Mode 4.0 and all of its features inclusive of its watermarks and DIS (Dynamic Image Stabilization) Engine are also made available for reactive spontaneous shots outdoors.
