You can’t go wrong with these Buds

Before we even begin our review I suggest you open your Lazada App, go to the official realme store and look for the realme Buds T100. Its currently priced at P1,299 but this 10.10 you can get P420 off bringing down the price to just P879!

Now go add a couple, maybe five or even 10 to your cart, because I tell you this is one sale you don’t want to miss out on especially if you are already looking for a gift to give away this Christmas.

Okay, so realme is at it again, after dominating the PH smartphone market by being no. 1 for six consecutive quarters, the brand is looking to further expand its reach in the AIoT segment by setting a new standard in the budget TWS segment.

The realme Buds T100 targets audio-lovers on a budget offering both function and style at a price that hits the sweet spot of your wallet. The Buds T100 boasts a 10mm Dynamic Bass Driver for deeper bass, a sleek case with duotone colors a 28-hour battery life that allows you to #Groove247 and that realme name that guarantees quality.

Does the Buds T100 live up to the hype?

Here is our UPS and Downs review of the realme Buds T100.

At the get go we give the realme Buds T100 an UP in terms of packaging. It arrives in the standard white box with the product render on front and some features on both sides. Sliding the inner box reveals the T100 wrapped in a plastic band. Usually when you slide out the box the items underneath fall, this time realme placed a cover on the bottom so that contents—the paper documents, extra eartips and charging cable wouldn’t fall.  You not only get everything you need in the box but its also packed quite nicely.

The realme Buds T100 is available in two colors, Punk Black and Pop White. The case looks you’re your typical pebble shaped case, but once you open the lid you’ll notice the Two-Tone Hit Color Design. The black inner case is yellow, while the white one has a gray interior. Both look good, but I actually prefer the Black/Yellow pairing. The Black case also isn’t glossy and not as much of a fingerprint magnet, unlike the white one which looks shiny.

The case has a realme branding, an indicator light and a USB Type-C port underneath. The case lid is magnetic and though it doesn’t have that reassuring snap lock, it’s still able to securely hold the T100 in place.

Opening up the lid reveals a pair of earbuds with stems, I like how lightweight they were and it has a really good fit. You get that “its there” feeling but without the inconvenience and the need for frequent readjustments. If its too tight or loose you can easily swap eartips.  So I am giving it another UP

Setting up the T100 was very easy thanks to Google Fast Pair compatibility. Once you open the case we got a notification message and icon of the buds on our smartphone. Bluetooth 5.3 on the other hand assured us of a consistent, reliable connection with no stutter even if we’ve moved away from our smartphone.

The stems also function as a touch control panel and I do like how there is a flat surface to make it more responsive and easier to tap.

The controls are very easy to remember and get used to so it gets another UP. Double tap to play or pause, triple press to skip to the next track and long press on the left bud to adjust volume down or on the right to volume up.  You’ll hear a faint sound to confirm that you’ve activated a shortcut.

Downloading the realme link app allows you to see the battery leves of each  bud, as well as choose from several sound effects. Bass Boost, Balanced or Bright. You can also further increase the volume of the device via the app or turn on Game mode. There is also an option to setup button settings via the app.

Now for the most important part of the review–Sound quality.

Well, the moment I put them on and played Dua Lipa’s IDGAF, the Buds T100 made it very easy for me to give it an UP.

It sounded quite loud with enough clarity, but it’s the bass that surprised me. So I do suggest you lower the volume before putting them on. The 10mm Dynamic Bass Driver delivers and bass heads will love the boom coming out of these tiny buds. The mids are still there while vocals and highs are good enough for buds at this price point.

So if you love EDM, hip hop and pop the Buds T100 would make your sountrip more enjoyable.

However, that bass also has a downside as some might feel too overwhelmed by it after listening continuously for hours. If that’s the case you might want to either lower the volume or head over to the realme link app and choose the bright sound option.

It doesn’t have Active Noise Cancellation DOWN, but is expected at this price point but the passive isolation is decent enough and could keep noise out and mute those ambient sounds.

It does come with  AI  ENC Noise Cancellation for calls so that it could prioritize your voice during calls and make you sound clearer. It does the job but don’t expect the best call quality as its still limited by its form factor. On top of this, the realme Buds T100 can tune out noise since it is equipped with an Environmental Noise Cancellation that separates background voices and noises in real-time via AI algorithms. Environmental Noise Cancellation that separates background voices and noises in real-time via AI algorithms.

For gamers, . In terms of performance, the realme Buds T100 promises less than 0.1 seconds delay between audio from connected devices. This is made possible by its 88ms Super Low Latency that allows the realme Buds T100 to keep a perfect audio-to-video sync with less lag time.

The T100 also boasts an IPX5 Water Resistance that makes it sweatproof and splash-resistant. Making it a great companion for your workouts.

Finally for battery life, the Buds T100 is rated at 6 hours per continuous use and 28 hours total with the case. Our test proves these claims to be pretty accurate though at max volume it would only last around less than five hours use.   It also supports fast charge as users may quickly charge the realme Buds T100 from low battery for just 10 minutes and use it for up to 2 hours of total audio playback.

FINAL WORD: The realme Buds T100 has all the basics covered for those looking for their first TWS earbuds. It looks good as well as it sounds with heavy bass. You get app support via realme link and the battery lasts as long as you need them and you even get fast charging support. But the best news is that you can get the Buds T100 at an even lower discounted price of P879 during the 10.10 Sale Campaign on Lazada happening this October 10-14 and Shopee starting October 10-12.

To make things more exciting, realme fans are in for more treats as there will be more realme products up for grabs at up to 70% OFF and free shipping vouchers can be claimed on the realme Official Store on Lazada.
