Our initial review of the vivo v23e has been getting a lot of positive feedback and even more inquiries so as we promised, here’s our thoughts on the vivo v23e 5G cameras.
The vivo V223e 5G has a powerful triple-rear camera array headlined by a 50MP main camera that has Ultra Stabilization. Its flanked by two secondary cameras: an 8MP super wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field-of-view and a 2MP macro camera. The wide angle lens can handle those expansive landscape shots while the macro lens is a nice way to capture an tiny new world. The rear camera of vivo V23e 5G can intelligently analyze shakes and vibrations caused by walking or other movement and stabilizes the videos and images — reducing blurriness and improving sharpness. This is helpful when you are doing travel vlogs or when you are recording while walking around.
For the front selfie cam it has a 44MP front camera, achieving higher sharpness in good lighting conditions. Even when zoomed-in or cropped, your selfies retain plenty of details and your best facial features always at the highlight.
The Ultra-Sensing Sensor of the selfie camera comes with ISOCELL 2.0 to increase the brightness and vibrancy of the images being captured. The new materials being used reduce the color crosstalk and optical loss, especially in low light scenarios. With pixel-binning, the phone can take better images in darker conditions, thanks to a large 1.4μm pixel size.
Here are the best features I liked about the vivo V23e 5G:
FUN CAMERA MODES: Opening the camera app by default, you get the usual modes– Night, Portrait, Photo, and Video. Tap “More” to add and access other modes like High resolution (50MP), Panorama, Live photo, Slo-Mo, Time Lapse, Pro, AR sticker, documents, and my two favorites Double Exposure and Dual View.
For those who like shooting reels or TikTok videos, you could experiment using Slo-mo and Time Lapse. I do think the AR sticker mode has to go or be updated as it’s made useless by all the other in-app filters.
DOUBLE EXPOSURE: I’m not sure if this is also available in other vivo phones but Double Exposure allows you to take two great photos and combine them in new and artistic ways. There are three preinstalled ones, but you can use any photo from your gallery.

DUAL VIEW: This is a very useful mode for vloggers as it lets you capture both yourself and your subject behind the camera simultaneously which is nice for capturing those priceless reactions you wouldn’t want to miss out. You can experiment on all sorts of situations for food tasting, a collab, or reaction video to what you are seeing. You can even change the shape of the floating window to either square, circle, or heart, adjust the position, and switch cameras.
EYE AUTOFOCUS: Eyes are the first thing that people notice in a photo. vivo V23e 5G comes with the Eye Autofocus feature for the front camera, so users can always be the center of attention. The phone can automatically lock and maintain focus on people’s eyes, even if they are moving. Another similar feature is face detect where an outline appears suggesting how you should frame your subject once its lined up it automatically starts a countdown to take a photo.
STEADIFACE SELFIE VIDEO: This somehow reminds of Bella Poarch’s tiktok video effects where she just nods her head and does different facial expressions. Turn this mode on and you will always be in the center of the frame via an algorithm that locates the face and crops the photos accordingly. Unlike conventional EIS where cropping happens randomly, the Steadiface Selfie Video mode makes a difference by keeping the user still and adjusting the rest of the scene.
PORTRAIT SELFIE FILTERS: Vivo has made a name for itself for its ` cameras and the v23e 5G has this Natural Portrait mode that allows users to take selfies that are more true-to-life. You can shoot with all the imperfections or use the optional beautification toggles to enhance certain aspects and features of the face. Tap on Multi-Style Portrait mode to easily change between filters, add a Tone Style and Bokeh, and have multiple sets of templates with distinct styles ready to go.
VIDEO EDITING TOOLS: Instead of having to download another editing app, the default video editor on the vivo vivo V23e is already quite comprehensive. You can trim, change the aspect ratio, add music, text and choose a theme. You can even compress the size of your video and change the resolution after. If you are one of those people who loves uploading stories this makes it very easy and fun to do it.

Overall, the vivo v23e 5G has a pretty versatile set of cameras that will not disappoint those who love taking selfies and content creators looking to produce the next viral video.
