nubia has officially launched the nubia V80 Max in the Philippines, positioning it as a durable budget smartphone built around battery life and physical protection.
The device joins the growing “durability-focused” category, featuring 1.8-meter drop resistance, 360-degree internal reinforcement, and an IP64 dust and water resistance rating for protection against light splashes and daily accidents.
According to nubia, the phone has passed TÜV Rheinland durability testing, reinforcing its focus on long-term everyday use.
Complementing its rugged design is a 6,000mAh battery, which the company claims can retain up to 80 percent battery health after four years of use. It supports AI Night Charging, Bypass Charging, and 10W reverse charging, aimed at reducing battery degradation over time.
Display and performance
At the front, the nubia V80 Max sports a 6.9-inch HD+ IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 780 nits peak brightness, designed to remain visible outdoors. The screen features a notch housing a 16-megapixel front camera.
Powering the device is an unspecified 1.8GHz octa-core processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, targeting smooth day-to-day performance for basic apps, social media, and streaming.
Cameras and additional features
For photography, the V80 Max is equipped with a 50MP AI triple camera system and a 16MP front camera.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 200 percent volume boost speakers, and nubia Sound Effects.
The phone also supports nubia Linkfree Bluetooth calling and messaging, allowing users to make calls and send messages within a 600-meter range without mobile data or signal.
On the software side, nubia includes several AI-assisted tools such as One-Swipe AI Memory, AI Scam Alert, AI Wallpaper, and AI Social Publisher.

In terms of design, the phone is available in Black, Silver, Gold, and Purple, combining a reinforced build with a clean, modern finish.
